Lloyd Banks Performs Live in Brooklyn, Set to Release "V6" Mixtape Next Week

G-Unit dark horse Lloyd Banks showed that he still had the "hunger for more" when he performed at Club Capri in Brooklyn last night. The "Punch Line King" took to the Bay Ridge stage before a sold-out crowd just before 3am. Earlier that day, Banks -- along with Fabolous, Ashanti, R&B singer Lloyd, & Jadakiss -- performed in SUNY Albany at the college's annual Parkfest, where he fired on all pistons in the pouring rain.
Successfully staving off a bout of pneumonia, Banks gave Brooklyn live versions of "Beamer Benz or Bentley," "Start it Up," & "Any Girl" -- from Hunger for More 2 -- as well as the Jahlil Beats-produced "Jackpot," which is due to be on his
much-anticipated V6 mixtape. The mixtape is set to drop on the 30th of April -- which will be Banks' 30th birthday.

Styles P speaks on his new Book and some of his favorite Authors
Most commonly know Styles P for his hard hitting gritty rap blasts. His anthems are played ceremonially in ever hip hopper's stereo where he raps about the ills of society. He
has toured internationally and has gained role model status. But in this clip Styles raises strong contentions about the lifestyle one might imagine an artist like Styles P to live and shows a more
educable side to his personality. In this footage Styles P opens up about his passion for reading books, his favorite authors and talks about his own book that he's written all from the touches of a
Blackberry phone. Yes people he wrote a book using a Blackberry handset.

The return of Tupac at Coachella
Epic or Bad Taste?
Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg headlined this year's Coachella festival to mark 20 years performing together, as if that wasen't good enough they were joined by Eminem, 50 Cent, Wiz Kalifa and to the surprise of everyone, a 3D Hologram of the late Tupac Shakur.
Whilst other musicians at the festival, including Rihanna and Katy Perry, expressed their delight at the spectacle, some have thought it in bad taste. Whatever your opinion, it was the talk of the festival, surpised everyone and made Snoop and Dre's whole performance a hip hop classic, that will be talked about for years to come.

The average human being touches less than 10% of what they see with their eyes.
Technology has the capabilities to produce virtual images within the movements of regular social society in the structural form and pattern of what our minds
accept, categorize and normalize as biproducts of the expected formats that are believed to exist in the daily mode and motions of system and population. Increasing and decreasing at the appropriate
time in size and design it matches what should appear where and when it should appear.
So, the metaphysical question is then: 'how much of what you think you see can you say with certainty "Is really there"

Converse UK announces Converse Block Party, London in April. In promo to the launch of the event Converse announces that they are in search, of that oneunique rap
flow given by a unique individual, and in search of that person. A beat was sent out all over the UK for artists to take part in submittingthere own 32 bars, in conjunction with JD Sports. To look
for that certain someone that will be performing at the Converse Black Party in the Old VicTunnels along side, Wiley, Skepta, Lady Leshurr, P Money, Mic Rightous and more… in celebration of the
winner. Kix Mag had the opportunity in attending theLondon heat, held on the 29th March 2012 in JD Sports, Oxford Street, London.
Head to head, the best unsigned MC’s spat there 32 bars in hopes they will be performing alongside the best of the best MC’s at the Block Party, withSkolz winning
Glasgow and Bugzy Malone winning Manchester. London took place, MC Shaga, Subzy, Row.D, Skillzy, Bay Kalay, RickStar, Bilzar andDirty Doggz gave it there all, brining in there own music and there
lyrical flow, into the competition, after each round was performed they wherejudged by, Mix Righteous, Morgan Keyz SBTV, Urban Nerds, JD and Converse, on style, energy and bars. Where each indivdual
got knocked out stage by stage.Right there on JD Sports shop floor, for everyone to see. A lot was at stake, because each artist performed also knew that their bars will be featuringon legendary
urban music label “No Hats No Hoods”.
It all heated up from the semi- finals, where we saw Row D and Skillzy went head to head. Row D gave more to the people, as he shined with his versatilityof style,
comedy and flow and delivery. Skillzy had the flow, but the audience just did not feel and hear the bars and Row D won that round on the groundof crowds interaction (hyping and enjoyment). Soon after
Subzee from Camden went up against MC Shaga. Subzee decided to go for a different route as heflowed / rapped over a hip hop beat, as he wasn’t a clash MC, it was a close call as the judges were at
the edge of their seats as one judge comments“I would by your CD – however he didn’t clash his opponent at all”, but Shaga blew the crowed away with his stage presence he did lack some
lyricalcontent. After a long pause of thought on the grounds of entertainment MC Shaga won the battle, going head to head with Row D for the Final Round.
Both MC’s were from North London, and both has similar styles of flow and lyrics (the 2 finalist did know each other) it was entertaining to see how theywould battle it
out on stage. Row D went first as he rapped over a Woo Riddim beat by SX and got the crowd on there feet feeling the flow in participation.MC Shaga lyrical bars was his weakness which led for the
judges to vote Row D. It was defiantly a right decision, as the judges said they will be judgedon style, energy and bars and Row D had that package. Mic Righteous jumped on stage delivering a great
performance of this material from his latest mixtape, which ended up him inviting on the contestants back on stage to perform a final rap together bar on bar, which wrapped up the event nicely and
givinganother person to perform at the Converse Block Party in April. If you are not happy with the outcome of the judges decision you have an opportunity tovote for the Peoples Choice @ www.converseblackparty.com to have your voice heard.

Whitney Houston dies aged 48 in Beverley Hills Hilton Hotel, last night. R.I.P (1963-2012)
Sadley Whitney Houston past away last night. I grew up listening to Whitney and have always put her in the top 5 female recording artists of all time. Recently we interviewed Alexis Houston, Whitney Houstons sister, so we have had a few twitter convos and know they are decent people, so my heart goes out to her also and the rest of the family. No matter what the rest of the media have to say, she had a beautiful soul and voice which we were all blessed to experience. Whitney's spirit will live on as the hits she produced will continue to seranade our ears.

Ghetts interview
Justin Reginald Clarke Samuel better known by his stage name Ghetts (formerly Ghetto) is an English artist from Plaistow, Newham, East Londonof African-Caribbean
(Jamaican/Grenadian) and Ghanaian descent. His music has been played on national radio stations such as BBC Radio 1, Kiss 100, BBC Asian Network and BBC Radio 1Xtra. He is associated and has toured
internationally with such acts as Kano and was a member of NASTY Crew.
Ghetts openly rates himself as one of the top five urban artists in the UK Underground scene. Having battled pretty much everyone in the scene worth battling, Ghetts has
evolved from the battle rapper 'Ghetto' into the artist that he is today. He no longer wants to be seen as the Grime artist that he was, but an artist who makes good music. He had decided that he
didn't want to be a battle rapper anymore for the mere chance that it would never end. Meaning, the next battle would always be lined up somewhere waiting to happen.
"After battling P Money, I looked back on it and thought, why did i do that?"
Its evident that the who P Money situation really put things in perspective for him. Even though i must confess that I very much enjoyed it and, was one of the people
that was secretly trying to get them to clash.. =\ lol There's no point! Both artists have ready gotten what they need out of it. A push up the ladder and a wake up call.
"Personally I think I've helped to make 'P Money', bigger than certain people in my own squad which is another reason why I refuse to do it.. Sometimes you've just gotta
draw the line.."
While keeping the UK music scene on its toes, Ghetts has always had allot of controversy around his name. Early last year, MTV Base released its ‘Best of the Best: UK
MCs 2010’ list. Upon closer inspection of the list it becomes evident that they missed one MC… Furious at what seemed like a blatant disrespect, Ghettshit back hard and fast at MTV Base with a track
called "Who's On The Panel", which fully expressed how he felt about the matter.
Later that year he was presented with an 2011 Official Mixtape Award for best Grime Mixtape "Calm Before the Storm". The Official Mixtape Awards are the first initiative
to actively recognize, promote, and celebrate Mixtapes and its contributors. They endeavour to give exposure to the UK Mixtape scene amongst the public.
Ghetts has just released a new mixtape (on 25th December) called 'Momentum ' hosted by DJ Whoo Kid which is now available for free download as a christmas present to his
fans. Big shout to Giggs for the link up.. #TeamUKTalent
Check out the exclusive Kix Mag interview about his 2012 plans on our YouTube channel and make sure you lot keep a very good look out for all of his new music coming out
because I think it will allow you to understand him more.Peace, Love n Prosperity for 2012

Congratulations in order...Exo USG signs to 360 Records.
Dallas Austin - The Beat Thang“Exo is a humble character, and he’s just someone that you always want to do well. He’s also a very talented artist, and he’s bringing his own unique wave to the UK Rap scene. Exo’s new deal with
360 Records & Cat Park is amazing news! I, for one, will continue to support his musical journey. A!” – Joseph ‘JP’ Patterson (MTV Wrap-up editor, The Vibe, The Source, The Voice, Roc Nation –
Writer)
“Exo is one of the most exciting artists in the game right now! His energy is INSANE!! I have supported from day one, and will continue to do so! – Charlie Sloth BBC 1xtra
USG member and North West London representative Exo, has signed a deal with the iconic independent label that is, 360 Records. 2012 is set to be the year that will confirm him as one of UK’s most
fundamental talents.
2011 was a wholesome year for Exo; he opened the year with a bang releasing a mix tape entitled “The Power Of The Pound” which was sold for just £1 to enlighten his audience about money, wealth and
the value of a pound. The CD was well received by fans, bloggers, and of course fellow artists sparking reviews from The Grime Report, BBC 1Xtra’s Charlie Sloth, MTV Wrap UP plus more.
His following began to grow; his video “Show & Prove” admirably received maximum rotation from Channel AKA and also made it to the Flava TV playlist. Before even half the year passed, he
circulated another fire mix tape titled “The Appointment”.
360 Records is a powerful, if not the most powerful independent machine there is. Having discovered and developed Devlin, assisted Griminal and Ghetts on countless projects, and of course the label
behind massive releases such as Lethal Bizzle – Pow 2011 and the most successful independent release of 2011; Lord Of The Mics 3.
Exo is now finding himself in new territory, being recognized as an emerging artist by Radio DJ’s, TV stations and online journalists. MTV Base have mentioned they will be keeping an eye on him
following his honorable mention in 2011’s Best of the best MC’s show. His hard work during 2011 is certainly paying off; he has recently been nominated for Best Male at the Official Mixtape
Awards (OMA’s). Being picked up by 360 records is sure to just double his heat on the streets, industry interest and commercial success.
“2012 is a massive opportunity for me, I have a lot of work to do and seeing other people around me achieving success makes me even more determined to achieve my own goals.” – Exo
